Opera Shorts Splash

Opera Shorts is an organisation of composers dedicated to creating vibrant new opera for a 21st century audience. Original and compelling artistic endeavours are encouraged by creating a stage where new composers can exhibit works encompassing the wide spectrum of drama in a short space of time.

To this end, Opera Shorts is involved with composers around Scotland who are work in such a medium. Where possible, Opera Shorts will provide such composers with performance opportunities.

It's opera, it's short.

Change to Fringe Programme details Posted by The Opera Shorts Composers on Thursday 17th of July 2008 12:27:39 Opera Shorts will now be performing four new operas at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, instead of the originally suggested six. The length of our slot wouldn't allow six operas to be performed in one night, and we fully expect everything to work much better as a result. See the Operas page for more details.
